What do you enjoy most about writing?

Writing according to me, it is the best way to express myself. I may not be able to express myself in words but in writing all my thoughts and feelings move in the ink. But what I like most about writing is, sometimes when I feel burdened, scared or angry at life as humans do at times I just get my pen and pour out my anger,my heart my life inform of poetry. Then I try to read it aloud. All of a sudden am back to life and willing to push on. Writing has enabled me overcome all my fears in the form of poetry. Nothing excites me more than this.

What positive emotion do you feel most often?

This one is written on the muscles of my heart. Hold on to what you believe in though not of the perfect stature. But still I hold on come rain sunshine till I become that I believe in. Even if I fail to become but as long as I tried with all the humanly possible guts. These words burn like fire within my soul.

What is a word you feel that too many people use?

I think the word, “love” has been abused too many times. So it becomes so difficult to express the true type of love. Even murderers say it, thieves, those in witch craft, politicians and so many. So to express the true type of love, one must not just say it or act on it but give a little bit of extra. Yes! Extra very important to prove it which is not something we see around us only a few can show it.

6 Carbs to Eat to Help You Lose Weight

Even though carbs have a bad rap, these carb-rich foods can actually bolster your weight-loss efforts.

Call it the Battle of the Carbs. On one side are good-for-you carbohydrates—found in fruits, vegetables, dairy and whole grains—that your brain and body need. Then there are the less healthy carbs—the ones in doughnuts, white bread, soda and other sugary, processed foods. Over time, filling up on refined carbohydrates raises your risk of heart disease and diabetes, not to mention eating too many can lead to weight gain.

Is There Such a Thing as Good Carbs and Bad Carbs?

So here’s a winning strategy. Replace refined carbohydrates with whole, unprocessed carbs, and you’ll boost your heart health and lower your risk of diabetes. And because healthy carbs are typically rich in feel-full fiber, they can help you lose weight. A 2019 study in Nutrients found that eating more whole grains is associated with a lower risk of weight gain.

Here are six healthy, whole-grain carbs (plus tasty recipes and helpful cooking tips) worth adding to your meals.

1. Quinoa

Quinoa Power Salad

Pictured Recipe: Quinoa Power Salad

Consider it amped-up couscous. A 1/2-cup serving of this delicately flavored whole grain provides 2 grams of fiber, which can help you feel full longer. It also has 4 grams of protein, which can help tame your appetite.

To cook: Bring 2 cups water or broth to a boil in a medium saucepan; add 1 cup quinoa. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover and cook until the liquid has been absorbed, 15 to 20 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Note: Rinsing the grains first removes any residue of saponin, quinoa’s naturally bitter protective coating. Try toasting quinoa before cooking to enhance its flavor.

2. Black Rice

Black is the new brown when it comes to rice, say some nutritionists. While both black and brown rice are similar in nutrients, black rice—an ancient grain sometimes called “forbidden” rice—is higher in vitamin E and anthocyanins, which are powerful antioxidants. And it’s higher in fiber and lower in calories, so it can help you lose weight.

To cook: Combine 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, until all the water is absorbed, about 30 minutes. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork.

3. Barley

Barley is available “pearled” (with the bran removed) or “quick-cooking” (parboiled). While both contain soluble fiber, pearl barley has a little more. A good source of potassium and other heart-healthy nutrients, barley can help you lose weight.

To cook: For pearl barley: Combine 1 cup barley and 2 1/2 cups water or broth in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer; cook, covered, until tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, 40 to 50 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes.

For quick-cooking barley: Bring 1 3/4 cups water or broth to a boil in a medium saucepan; add 1 cup barley. Reduce heat to a simmer; cook, covered, until tender, 10 to 12 minutes.

4. Oatmeal

Eating oatmeal regularly not only lowers your risk of high blood pressure, heart disease and colon cancer, but its high fiber also helps keep you feeling full and satisfied. And research shows they can help reduce belly fat and overall body fat.

To cook: Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan; add a pinch of salt. Add 1/2 cup old-fashioned or “rolled” oats. Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, for 2 to 3 minutes.

5. Popcorn

You can get one of your daily servings of whole grains with 3 cups of popcorn (what you get by popping 1 heaping tablespoon of kernels).

To cook: Toss 1 heaping tablespoon of popcorn kernels into an air popper.

6. Farro

Known for its nutty flavor and chewy texture, this ancient wheat grain is packed with protein, and has more fiber than many other whole grains. Farro is most often available semi-pearled, with part of the bran removed. Whole farro has more nutrients, but you’ll need to soak it overnight and cook it longer.

To cook: Combine 3 cups water or broth and 1 cup farro in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Stir, reduce heat to a simmer and cook, uncovered, until the farro is tender, 15 to 25 minutes. Drain

Dogs or cats?

Am not very sure but I believe the first animal to tamed by man was a dog, man’s best friend. I don’t know who ever came up with the ” best friend” but he wasn’t lying. The world can sometimes become a strange place for some of us where nobody gives a damn about you, but I know my dog will never leave me alone. Everybody can leave but my dog is right here by myside.

Which activities make you lose track of time?

First as first music, oh I thank God, there’s music, I enjoy listening to secular, non secular, country music oh my with a hot cup of coffee on my couch, the peace is immense. When I begin playing it, I forget what the world and my problems are up to.

Talking about losing track of time, I happen to by coincidence a beautiful woman passing by me when I was actually going back home from work, They say chances come once, how dare me not say hello, and of good luck she happened to be a peaceful woman. And replied back, I knew I had to use all the words in the dictionary to construct meaningful sentences and before you know it I had moved miles away from home talking, till I reached her home, man it was so thrilling, and wow time had left me no I didn’t care.

Watching a boring movie makes me feel like axing my television, but this time round my favorite actors Jet Li and Jackie Chan were in action. It was 10pm but I told myself come sleep come time till 3am in the morning but little did I know that the Tv was watching me instead cause I was dead asleep. Wow! Wow nice movie. I remember watching for only two hours the rest I could only remember it was 3am. The experience was wow wow!

List 10 things you know to be absolutely certain.

I know that in this world, you come and you go

Secondly, No matter how long it gets, No condition is permanent

Thirdly, Behind every successful man, there’s always a beautiful loving woman.

The most beautiful thing in poverty, wealth, sickness and health will always be love. Love is not bound to anything. It is the beauty that runs like a river through you and I. And will never stop.

No one is worthless in this world. Yes I may not have a dime or the wisdom, the health, the beauty and all that. The sun and moon were not made to give light and warmth to the day but to you and I regardless of our positions on earth. So now every soul counts.

Money does not increase value in a person all it can do is increase your shares on earth but your value lies in the hands of the people around you

Love is not beauty, beauty is not body. Body is not lust and lust is not desire. Remember that.

Everybody wants to be where the good things are but what about the bad things? The good and bad things were meant for and I alike. All we can do is play our part in the good and bad as well.

No matter how hard we try to fathom the ways of God and who He might be. It will always be a waste of time

Lastly, even though we are limited by flesh and blood, it is still possible to bound your demons and fears to hades and rise beyond human expectations. And that I believe

True Testimonials From Happy Stomach Saviour Readers

your tummy can be just as happy as theirs

“Your book has been a God-send … I had suffered with stomach pain, nausea, indigestion for as long as I can remember. I have had five or six endoscopies, two colonoscopies, all of them showed nothing wrong. I can’t even count how many doctors and specialists I saw. I tried dozens and dozens of drugs, almost all of them made me feel worse, with one of them I even ended up in ER. I was even referred to a psychiatrist, who told me I needed tranquillisers and therapy! A good friend recommended your book to me, and it has been a God-send. I took the tests you suggest and I was shocked by the results, but more than shocked I was actually really angry with all those doctors who thought I was imagining it, just because they couldn’t find the cause of my pain. If it was up to them I would still be in pain for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for writing Stomach Saviour and sharing your knowledge, and thank you for the helpful extra advice you provided in your emails to me. I can’t express my gratitude.”

“Saved me $80 a month … Stomach Saviour has saved me around $80 a month in prescriptions that weren’t doing me any good. But the money is not the best part – since I put your advice into action, I feel well for the first time in over 20 years. I can’t remember how many doctors I have been to, but they never provided the kind of information that is in your book.”

“Stomach Saviour is a life saver … Janet, Stomach Saviour is a life saver. Since I was little, I have been suffering from all kinds of unexplainable digestive troubles. When I was a kid, everyone said: “Don’t worry, she will grow out of it.” By the time I was 25, it was only getting worse. Then everyone said: “You’ll have to learn to live with it” or “It’s just stress”. I’m sure that some doctors and friends also thought it was psychological, and even I wondered about that myself at times, when every test comes up negative. You start to doubt yourself. The tests you recommend in Stomach Saviour had never been ordered by my doctor, I had not actually heard of them before, but you were right. The results pinpointed the exact cause of all my illness. Knowing that there was an actual cause was like a light at the end of the tunnel for me. I only wish I had read your book sooner, but I’m grateful to have now found a cure. I can’t explain what a relief it is not having to worry about my stomach anymore!”

“A saviour for the stomach … I honestly wasn’t expecting relief in 24 hours – I would have been happy with 24 days! When I woke up the next morning after starting your program, I realized something was missing – my stomach pain! The first thing I usually do when I wake up is reach for my tablets, and I couldn’t quite believe that I didn’t need them. I waited and waited, expecting the pain to start at any minute – and still nothing happened. And nothing has happened now for over three months. Stomach Saviour really is a saviour for the stomach.”

“I feel like I have a brand new stomach … I’ve always been fit, I cycle almost every day, run marathons occasionally, and eat a healthy diet, so why I had so much pain in my stomach was puzzling to both me and the numerous doctors I have been to. After reading Stomach Saviour, I started to look at the way I eat and what I eat in a new light. Your book provided a real turning point in my life. I feel like I have a brand new stomach.”

“Stomach Saviour is amazing! … OMG, Stomach Saviour is amazing! All my gut aches have gone and my IBS is almost non-existent. Janet, your book should be sent to every gastro doctor on the planet!”

“Best book I ever bought … The first thing I did was stop taking the “bad” vitamin pills you talk about in Stomach Saviour. That by itself made me feel 90 per cent better within a week, I would never have credited that to cause me so many problems with my digestion. I’ve implemented some of your other suggestions, and feel better overall now than I did in my 20s. As a bonus, I had a lot of inflammation in my shoulder and elbow, which have just about disappeared now. Best book I ever bought.”

“My wife loves you – so do I … Janet, my wife loves you – so do I. I have had so many stomach problems over the years, and tried so many different things. I’ve tried LOTS of different medicines from LOTS of different doctors, and just about driven my poor wife crazy with new diets. She was the one who got me your Stomach Saviour book, she read it first and told me: “Now I know what’s causing your gut aches.” She got me organised, and even within the first few days I started feeling better. I had a lot less bloating and the spasms that usually woke me up during the night weren’t nearly as bad. After a few weeks, I had lost a couple of kilos (previously impossible for me), and was getting a good night’s sleep (also previously impossible for me). So, three months down the track, all my symptoms and stomach aches have gone, and my wife often says that she feels like she’s married to a new man. My friends and people I work with have all commented how much better I look (used to be quite sallow), I’m a lot more productive and a lot less grouchy. Your advice has made a big difference to my life, for which my wife and I thank you sincerely.”

“Never felt better … I’ve been suffering from a variety of stomach complaints for the past 10 years or so. I was diagnosed with gastritis, and I’ve tried various medications without much success. Did the tests you suggest in Stomach Saviour and was surprised by the results (to say the least). Followed all your recommendations to the letter, had a gastroscope 8 weeks later. All clear. Never felt better. Big thanks.”

“Completely changed my life … Thank you Janet, you’re a genius! I feel like a new person since I started the Stomach Saviour program. My stomach pain was affecting my career and my social life. I never knew when it would strike. I was scared to go to lunch or dinner with friends in case I had a sudden attack of spasms and pain. Some days, I was in too much pain to go to work. I was starting to feel depressed and didn’t know what to do. My doctor wasn’t very helpful, he just wrote me a prescription and told me to relax. How can you relax when you’re in pain? He never asked me anything about my diet. After reading your book, I only made a few small changes to my diet and it has completely changed my life.

Start with small amounts and gradually increase your intake to allow your body to adjust.

Chronic stress can have a detrimental effect on gut health. Stress triggers an imbalance in gut bacteria and affects digestion. Get Sufficient Sleep:
Adequate sleep plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy gut. Poor sleep patterns can disrupt the balance of gut bacteria and impair digestion.
